Overview

The Child and Family Guidance Center is a child-centered, family-focused, and community-based agency that offers high-quality mental health care and behavioral supports to children under the age of 18 and their families. Our hope is for all Fairfield County children to be emotionally and psychologically healthy so that they can reach their maximum potential at home, at school, and in life.

We strive to be responsive to the mental health and behavioral needs of the community by working in collaboration with parents, providers, and others to offer services that are culturally competent, built on the strengths of the families we serve, and driven by the individual needs of our clients.

No one is denied services based on their inability to pay. Many of our services are offered free of charge while some ask for a ‘fee for service’ based on a sliding scale. Additionally, some of our programs accept Medicaid, HUSKY, and several commercial insurance providers. All fees (if applicable) are at reviewed at the Intake appointment.
